Had two phone calls to establish initial "fit", then went in to meet an HR rep and had a casual conversation about me and my story. My experience with this interview process was interesting. I knew what to expect as I had done the appropriate research. However, because it all begins with such casual conversations, I would warn others not to get too complacent in these discussions. Mistake number one...yes, they want you to let your guard down, but I knew I would be such a good fit in this company and knew I could give so much to this particular position, that I thought that would immediately shine through. In hindsight, I should have chosen my words more wisely.
One important thing that speaks to their company ethos - I would like to commend them for continuing the interview process with me despite me being 7 months pregnant. Yes, nothing more awkward than applying/interviewing for a job with a giant pregnant stomach preceding me through the door. They knew this from the get go, but went ahead anyway. I guess I will never know if things would have played out differently if I wasn't expecting, but they certainly didn't dismiss me because of it. I think applying for a position anywhere while imminently expecting would take a lot of convincing, especially if they are in dire need of help!
