I had my first call with the recruiter and it was great talking to him. He understood my profile and said I am a great match. He setup an onsite 1hr face to face interview with the hiring manager. The instructions to get to Shipt was messed up so I went to the building front desk and they called Shipt and I was told that I was not on their schedule. I tried calling the recruiter and after 20 minutes someone came downstairs and apologised for the mixup. I got to meet the hiring manager and her first comment was “we dont want our shipt employees who fulfill our customer needs who deliver goods to them, come knocking on our doors if a customer gives them 1 star or a negative feedback.” That was a red flag and I knew right there I would never join a company who thinks so poorly of their employees. Im glad I dint go through because the reason they told me is that they were looking for a visual designer when clearly the job description was of “Sr. Product Designer”. If she does not know what she wants I feel sorry for people who report to her.

I had a total of 8 rounds with 14+ people and wasted two weeks of my time. And the reason why they rejected me was because I didn't ask enough questions. They said they loved my work and skills but the one of the 14 people I spoke to felt I didn't ask enough questions. Are you guys for real?
