Ability to better understand job day-to-day role responsibilities through exercises. Cons: No feedback on exercise performance. Interview communication doesn't clarify that if you don't make it past the exercises portion of the process you won't continue to interviews. Shelterluv should clarify that candidates might not progress past the exercises portion so that people can make a more informed decision about whether they want to devote the time (8+ hrs for me) to the exercises.
