Ich habe mich für das Shell Graduate Programm im Bereich Finance beworben. Nach dem ich den Online-Test und das Online-Interview absolviert habe, bekam ich nach 3 Wochen (!) an einem Samstag eine Standard-Email "Unfortunately, at present we do not have positions available in your preferred area of work, location or start date. As a result, we will not be able to take your application further." Ziemlich enttäuschend nach dem ich mir so viel Mühe gegeben habe und Zeit investiert habe, erfahre ich nach 3 Wochen, dass es eine komplette Zeitverschwendung war und Shell für den Finance Bereich doch keinen suchen... Wäre nett gewesen diese Information auch vor dem Test und dem Interview zu haben. Der Kontakt zur HR erfolgt auch nur per E-Mail. Alles sehr unpersönlich.

Entretien
The interview process focses on behavioral assessments and technical screenings. Candidates are tested on the "CAR" method, focusing on safety, leadership, and on job competence through structured and in depth questions.
The first round is a recorded video interview. You need to record some videos based on their questions. There were 3 questions or me, which is not very unique. About your project, your interest in Shell.
I recently completed a video interview on HireVue, and the overall experience was pretty interesting. The platform presented a large number of psychological assessment questions along with several prompts focused on workplace morality and ethical decision-making. I appreciated that HireVue allowed unlimited time to record and re-record my video responses, which took a lot of the pressure off and made the process feel more flexible and less rushed.
Each portion of the interview was fairly in-depth and required thoughtful answers, so it ended up taking around 30 minutes per section. The combination of the structured assessments and the freedom to redo videos made the entire interview feel thorough but manageable.
