The interviewer began the interview by unequivocally stating that they would not be hiring any 3Ls. He said this despite the fact that the firm specifically told my law school that they were interested in hiring 3Ls. Essentially, one of my few chances to interview at a firm in the Bay Area as a 3L was worthless because the firm lied to my career counseling office.
