J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez ServiceNow en août 2021
Entretien
Initial call with recruiter (who reached out to me about the role). Confirmed my interest and scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager. I was sent a set of “recommendations” for how to prepare for the interview, including how to dress. During my interview with the hiring manager no cameras were turned on, the interviewer hadn’t looked at my resume or prepared for the interview. After the interview I sent a thank you email, which I always do, but was instructed to do by my recruiter. Followed up with my recruiter, asking when to expect a follow up on next steps and I was assured I would hear back by the end of the following week. It’s now been 3 weeks and I have not heard a word. Pretty disappointing and unprofessional that the company couldn’t take 5 minutes to reach out and let me know they wouldn’t be moving forward with me as a candidate, especially after sending over “instructions” on how to interview.

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris plus de 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez ServiceNow (Toronto, ON) en mars 2026
Entretien
This process took over 2 months to complete. First was a conversation with the hiring manager, then with the Director 2 weeks after. Then another quick chat with the hiring manager to align on next steps, which was a demo (of my choice) in front of a panel. I was very fortunate and had the opportunity to discuss my demo to one of the members of the panel before hand.
The Demo wasn't really difficult, because it was an area that I was very familiar with, but what caught me off guard was they asked questions they knew I wouldnt know the answer to, I guess they want to see how I would respond, and they didn't wait until the end of the demo to ask questions. All in all it seemed like it went well. I was confident however, you get in your head a little. A week passed, and I had not heard anything, until a few days later I was offered the position.
The recruiter missed the meeting at the scheduled time, but then called my cellphone 75 min later when I was busy. They then admitted that the role I had applied for was already filled, and then spent 45 min rambling aimlessly about how he got into the software business.
