First septa will mail you a letter stating they’re interested in employing you. They will give you a date to take a test at septa headquarters. It’s all basic high school questions. Once you past the test they will give you a letter stating you passed and give you a date for an interview with one of the foremans. If they’re are interested, Then you will receive a letter going to the next phase which is the criminal background check. If you get through that then they will put you on a candidate waiting Which can take weeks to a year or more. Personally it took me 9 months after my criminal background before they hired me. As soon as you get hired you will have to take a drug test. Then you will start immediately
