I applied for this job online and was scheduled for a phone interview a few days later with the hiring manager. A HR rep called me to schedule the interview, but I wish she had emailed me instead because I didn't get her name, email address, or any way to follow up with questions. I felt like the interview went well, and the hiring manager said he would get back to me soon. But he ghosted me. I never heard anything back about this job. I don't know who the HR rep who contacted me was, and I couldn't find anyone's email address or direct phone number to ask about my status. I ended up sending a polite request to the company's general info email address asking if they could please put me in touch with HR/Recruiting, but I never got any response. It's been about 3 months now, so I guess they're not going to give me an update. It's shocking how common it is for employers to ghost their interviewees these days - and I feel that it's completely unacceptable. If the company can't give someone who interviewed the courtesy of a 1-minute email update, how well could they treat their employees?
