I applied for the position online. It was a very lengthy online application. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as application content. It was just long. It asked for references on the application which I provided but I generally do not like when companies ask for this up front as I think it is something that should be requested after an interview. In the end they didn't contact my references.
It took several weeks but I received a call to set up a pre-screen phone interview. They told me it would take 45-60 minutes. This lasted last over an hour. Lots of detail was provided about the company, the position and lots of questions were asked of me. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as the questions. The recruiter was very nice and polite. She was very good through the entire process.
From there they sent me a personality/ skill test to complete at home. This was very lengthy and wearing, 100 questions. It look me a while to complete. Many questions were basic judgement call type of scenarios. There were several mathmatical questions based on mock reports. These were a bit challenging to me as I found that the generic reports lacked sufficient detail to really know what they were exactly asking.
The next step was a 2 hour in office interview. The first part was a case review and the second was a panel interview. The case review was tough. You are provided a packet of data to review. You are given 25 minutes to review and put together an assessment. After that a team of managers ask you questions based on your assessment of the metric report. I think I did a decent job but I could have done a much better job with more time and if I had more of an idea of the questions they were going to ask.
I was told that the panel interview was supposed to be a time for the management team to get to know me. I didn't feel that really happened as they just asked about 6 situational questions. They were canned pre-selected questions. Nothing terribly difficult with the questions. I asked several questions to the team which they answered.
I was contacted the next day and told the team really liked me but they had more internal interviews to complete and I would hear back by Wednesday of the following week. Wednesday came and went so I reached out to the recruiter on Friday. I was told a decision was supposed to be made that day. It wasn't. I was contacted the following Wednesday telling me that nobody was hired for the position. That was quite a surprise. I understand if they selected someone else but after all that, they hired nobody? I wonder if something changed internally that as an applicant you would be unaware of. The company put a lot of time and effort into the process that ended with no offers being sent.

Question 1
The in office case review was challenging. The biggest challenge was meeting the short time requirements to put together an assessment of the data.

Initially I was contacted by phone by a recruiter in Texas and advise of a phone interview three days later. The recruiter asked standard questions about experiences that I had with previous employers. How I handle difficult employees. What I do to build a team. After the interview I was advised that I will be going to a on-site interview at the location that I will be working. During the second interview I was given a case study to review with team statistics. After the completion of that interview; I was notified within two days that I would be receiving a third interview with a panel.
