Two rounds of interviews with the hiring Manager. First two rounds went well and I was expecting a third round based on discussions. At end of 2nd interview, the hiring Manager expressed concerns that they felt I was overqualified for the role and asked me to convince her that I wasn't. I thought I gave an appropriate answer, but apparently it was not sufficient. Afterwards, I expected to hear back within a week regarding a potential 3rd interview. I sent a follow-up email with no reply. I reached out one more time to inquire and never heard back. I didn't even receive a system generated rejection email. I then noticed the role was reposted today with a change to the job duties and requirements. Even if the role needed to change, it would be helpful if someone followed up with candidates who make it to face-to-face interviews. Without feedback, a candidate really has no idea what happened and "ghosting" seems to be the norm anymore. It's very disappointing that an employer with excellent reviews and a focus on the employee/candidate experience would not follow through with candidates they interviewed.
