Believe me, I'm not being salty here. This is the most disrespectful interview I have been in. The hiring manager never talks except saying 'Hello' at the beginning and leaves in the middle of the interview.
The actual interviewer is not the hiring manager but an outsourced counsultant. He cares nothing about front-end tech, but he is on a mission trying to expose your weakness. Keep asking me C# and JWT even though I'm applying for react developer and I did not list those things on my resume.
Towards the end, I asked why don't you ask me some Front-end questions, he says I know you know those, and throw an extremely easy coding question which I'm sure solving it won't help my profile.
It's just weird that the interviewer does not care about your merit but focuses on your weakness.

How can I feel I bombed the interview if I'm only failing the question that is not on my resume?

My interview was with the Digital Factory group of Scotia Bank.
Well, to be frank they didn't seem to be sure what they wanted. Also, a little unprofessional.
So I was selected for the phone interview which went great. I was initially told I would be going back for the in person interview within the week.
A week later they said they have changed the interview procedure and they will like to have a take home skill test, which basically had some vanilla and subjective questions in front end. This task also went great.
A week later mailed that the take home test result was great, and that they will call me the next working day to setup the interview.
After that - zilch! Absolutely no response. I mailed a Scotia Bank recruiter couple of times to check when I can come in, but absolutely no response.
I found them to be unprofessional and all over the place. I understand getting rejected, but telling someone should come in for interview and then completely cutting of in very unprofessional.
