I applied online and heard back the same day from a recruiter. They wanted to set up a phone interview. We set a time and it was about a half an hour of get to know you type things and seeing if you were right for the job. Right away I was told that they weren't actually hiring for the store manager position they were advertising but one level below that, I was ok with that as the salary was surprisingly good and they said advancement can happen quickly.
I was directed to fill out an online application and then we set up another phone interview. This was much longer about two hours and in depth with a lot of "tell me about a time" questions. They want specifics and they want them to relate to working at Savers. After the interview I was told that they were interviewing other candidates as well and that I would be contacted for an in person interview.
Throughout those two steps the recruiter was very responsive through email, but suddenly they were a ghost. I emailed and called a few times literally just looking for any idea of where in the hiring process I was to no response. After 2 weeks of non response I gave up and eventually got a job elsewhere. Nearly three months later I got a call from a store manager looking to set up an interview in person. I declined the offer for this meeting. Needless to say don't look for the process to move quickly with these guys.

Two part interview. Fairly standard corporate interview. Friendly people that made me laugh. Took around two weeks to get offer. Training was around 2.5 years, much longer than anticipated. Overall a good experience.

Looking back, What is something I would have done differently in my last position.

Well done. The interview is structured and behavioral based. There is a minimum of 2 interviews. Before the interview there is an online assessment. The interviews stick to their structure and make you feel at ease during the process. The online application process however is not user friendly. This causes delays and some applicants give up.

I sent my resume through a career site and I was emailed roughly about a week later. The emailed stated that every manager starts out as an assistant and moved their way up and Value Village will run a background check and credit report. If I agreed to the terms please respond back and we set up for a face to face interview so I did.I met the District Manager and he gave me a quick run down about the company and gave me a tour. I was told I will get a call sometime next week. The district manager seems nice
