      Entretien

I applied in online in early 2022. There was an invitation to go through an online video interview. This is automated where you record yourself giving responses to situational-type questions. Some weeks later, HR called up to invite me for an in-person interview. They also asked me to do a personality quiz. The interview was pretty standard and they asked a mix of resume questions and behavioral/situational questions. It is not difficult but what made it a negative experience for me was the following: - The job title was HR specialist and it looked L&D-focused, but I was told during the interview that it was more of an HR generalist role and asked if I would take up additional responsibilities outside of L&D. The weird thing is that the interview itself seemed to focus more on those responsibilities outside of L&D. - The personality quiz administered looked sketchy with questionable validity, but the interviewer actually made comments about my suitability for the job based on its results. - The behavioral questions asked in the in-person interview felt redundant, given that there were already a good number of them in the video interview. - Nothing in the in-person interview made it necessary for it to be in-person. This was a big deal to me because this interview happened while WFH was still the default due to COVID. I had to travel on-site (which was far) and HR demanded to see a negative ART test and then asked me to change into a fresh mask while on-site. It just made the company seem really rigid and inflexible. Also, I was told that the in-person interview was not even the final round and there would be another on-site case study if I passed (I did not). It just doesn't seem like a good use of resources to me to ask a candidate for an on-site interview during COVID when it isn't the final round and it could easily have been conducted online.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Standard resume and behavioral questions. Nothing too difficult if you prepare a few examples ahead of time. I was also asked about my perspective on DEI, which stumped me a little because I didn't anticipate that.
