Entretien
Trying to find work in the current climate can be a daunting process for anyone. Every job applicant communicating with or having to deal with a recruiter or sitting through an interview will have a different experience (good or bad). Some applicants provide a positive review of a company if they are successful in securing work with the targeted company, and on the contrary, a negative review if their application was unsuccessful.
I recently submitted a job application at Sage, and I’ve had the privilege of interacting with Mr James Lord (a talent acquisition business partner) on several occasions by email and telephone. A few weeks later, I had a 30 minutes informal video conference interview (hosted by Carl) to ascertain my level of technical skills required for the position and to see if the role was a good fit for me. Although my application was unsuccessful, I would like to commend Carl for his effort in ensuring the interview process was relaxed and felt more like a discussion around the job itself. Also, thanks to James for his level of professionalism, staying in touch before and after the interview.
I have had a good experience, and the information and feedback gained will help as I continue my quest in search for work.
Thank you, Sage,
Rohan
