I applied online and got a phone call the next week. Went in, the supervisor was really cool, and all he did was ask me a few questions, did a drug test, and hired me.

Question 1
Nothing really too unexpected. One question was "A woman comes in to buy a cake for someone's birthday. What two things do you suggest she might get as well?"
Very simple, just asked for basic information like name, other personal information, availability, which department I wanted to work in, etc. There was only one question. What items would you recommend to a customer for a kids birthday?

very straightforward sit down with manager or assistant manager, typically in the office or at the cafe if present. Series of questions and responses. Mostly what if's and minimal prior experience necessary.
