Only went through initial phone screen. The phone screen was relatively straightforward. Interview mentioned they would write a recommendation and to expect follow-up with next steps.
Note to STR: Don't have your interviewers say whether they recommend you or not, especially without providing feedback. Don't have an automated message that recommends applying to other positions when subsequent applications will have an immediate rejection.

Describe a challenging situation and how you managed to overcome it?
Was contacted by a recruiter, had an initial phone screen (one of the people who was supposed to be on the call never dialed in). Interviewer was hardly paying attention during interview. Was assured by the interviewer that their HR staff is VERY responsive with candidates. Never heard back from them after a couple weeks and after finally following up they said they decided to move forward with other candidates. Classic case of careless, unprofessional, and inconsiderate recruiting tactics.
