HR recruiter contacted me via phone and scheduled a suitable time for a 1:1 interview at their office location.
This was for the Analytics team.
The 1st round was with the same person and it was very short.
Just collecting your basic details.
At this point do not tell your salary expectations when asked.
The 2nd round of interview with a lead/manager. This was mostly technical questions and puzzles.
It lasted a little more than an hour.
I really enjoyed this round. It was interactive, challenging and fun. Easily my favorite interview I've had so far.
You pretty much get a gist of what you are in for.
I was asked to leave and informed that they will contact me soon in a few days after evaluating my skills.
After a month long gap(sloppy work), I got a call from the same recruiter for a 3rd round of interview.
This time with the Senior Director of Analytics.
It was a pleasant interaction and lasted 30 mins.
Here I was informed about my roles and responsibilities. They hinted that at times I might need to work overtime and on weekends to get an idea if I'd be okay with it.
She slyly dodged my question when I asked if laptops would be provided.
You can WFH using Citrix and you will have to attend calls at odd times.
Further discussions prolonged. My offer was verbally confirmed.
Unfortunately the SVP was not available at the office for a talk.
I had multiple calls with the HR over the course of next two weeks to discuss salary negotiations.
I made a mistake of quoting a smaller number at the very beginning. They agreed to it and were pretty firm on that.
So I expressed my concern and eventually got them to agree to a new quote.
Overall, the process was fair though it lasted longer than it should have. I couldn't complain too much.
The recruiter was friendly, polite and was in constant touch.
