      Entretien pour Finance Manager

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez SBTR Towing Recovery (Ashland, VA) en juil. 2021

      Entretien

The owner Tyler was very crude and contrite, he was late and unapologetic, and he was using profanity in the actual interview. I had to wait outside in front the door in 100 degree scorching heat with the sun blaring on me, sweating through my nice interview clothes - because not a soul would come and let me in, even though I asked 2 different people, and I also called on the phone to tell them I was at the door for my interview. There I stood. Finally, someone opened it, and I was left in the so called lobby completely alone, there were no lights on, and I awkwardly waited around until I was put in his empty office. This is after I was asked to come in on extremely short notice, (on both interviews here), I scheduled the time off to come, then very late the night before, the owner Tyler contacts me to say he has to reschedule. Fast forward, I'm in the interview room without him but was told to proceed anyways. I had already been asked multiple questions, and answered them all while we waited for him to show up. Then when he finally came in the office, I was asked the exact same questions, and had to repeat my entire life story all over again while he messed with his phone and didn't even listen. Extremely unprofessional. Everyone was scared of him, specifically the women - which is always a bad sign. This was all on the first interview. The second interview with the wife was even worse. I waited and waited in the so called lobby again until his wife yelled down the hallway to me several minutes later. They could not get the video set up with the offsite person who was also interviewing me, so I waited in a tiny office with these 4 people working on the computer...for 20 minutes in there before it ever started working. Extremely awkward again.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Typical interview questions, all cliche from Tyler - tell me where you see yourself in 5 years, etc...nothing interesting or innovative to actually find out about the person taking on this huge role. These are just people like me and you, and the God like mentality gave me so many reservations, I almost didn't return for the second interview when called back. The thing that bothered me the most is that I reached out multiple times to see if I would move forward, or if another candidate was ultimately offered the position. That is so unprofessional. We (the candidates) have taken time out and sacrificed time off from our job at the drop of a hat for you (twice), the least you could do is have the professional curtesy to say hey, thanks, we decided on a different person for the role. No problem, but just say so, and do not leave anyone out there wondering for weeks.
