They found me via LinkedIn seeing that my skills matched what they were looking for.
- I did an over the phone call with the Hiring manager to get a better feel for my skills, then they advised me that they wanted to schedule an onsite interview.
- I got a call from HR to ask me why I was looking into this company, what I thought about the role, and to get a gauge on my personality as well
- Onsite consisted of 5 one-on-one interviews back to back speaking with various members of the team.
- I met with 2 people of the team I would be working with including the hiring manager, 2 people from different teams to assess my personality and culture fit, co-founder for a personality fit, and lastly HR came in to help with any other questions I had and wrap up the process
- The onsite interview takes up most of the day, but since the company is only about 30 people, you get to have a really good feel for who you would be working with
- They were very upfront on the type of people they want to invite to the team always mentioning wanting someone with a curious mind, who was willing to go dig in the dirt to find the answer if no one had it, fun, etc
Pros:
They have a great product, great team dynamic, smart people who are go-getters and want to see the company succeed.
Cons:
It's intimidating interviewing at Rylo knowing that the team used to work at Apple, Instagram, Square, and went to amazing schools. However, when I met with everyone, they made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The people I interviewed with are very smart, driven, and humble.
