      Entretien

Well I have to write this although it was a story from last year.. I applied front office agent role last year and received a call from the front office manager who invited me to be on site for a face to face interview. I was in Sydney at that time and was desperate to find a job. I was thinking if i could get the job there then I would move there no problem.. I prepared a lot and actually drove to Canberra just for the interview. So on that day I arrived at the hotel, went to the lobby and told the supervisor there I had an interview appointment with the manager, she replied unfortunately the manager was sick on that day and no one could actually interview me, she then asked me if I could come at another time. I explained to her that i drove from Sydney and it would be very inconvinient for me to be there again just for an interview, she then said fine I will try to find another person to interview you.. I then waited in the lobby until another manager came to do my interview. It was a normal interview nothing special to write about. After the interview I went back to my car and checked my email inbox, i didnt check for the whole day as I was busy driving. Then I realised the front office supervisor who welcomed me at the hotel actually sent me an email in the morning saying I was not selected and therefore there was no need for me to come to the interview. I was very confused at that time so I actually went back to the hotel and asked the girl. She was with the manager at that time and I asked her what did you try to say by sending me that email in the morning, she then said oh it was just a wrong email just ignore. The manager did not say anything. I thought she was lying and I did not say anything and went out. 2 weeks later as I still not heard back from them I called and checked and the manager who said i was not selected. Obviously there was no transparency during that hiring process.. I feel I was treated like a fool..
