Applied through the Roy Hill website for an open position, got a follow up call approx a week later stating they had filled the roll but would I interview for a different position that was coming up.
They had my CV & cover letter etc with all my experience.
Attended the interview and felt it went well. There was a good vibe and connection.
Waited 3 weeks for a call back only to be told I didn’t have the number of years experience they were looking for (they were excessive 10+ years for a non-senior role).
Disappointing when they had the exact details of my experience and they were the ones to instigate the interview.

Won't go into too much detail...But the things asked in the interview was ethically wrong. Feels more like a tactic to poach technical information from competitor companies than an actual interview to hire. I'd say keep things vague if you go for a technical role in a more specialised field of work.
