This was by far the most disappointing interview process I’ve encountered.
It began with a questionnaire email from the recruiter asking about my experience, followed by an assessment filled with multiple questions. After these two rounds, I still had no real understanding of the role, as I NEVER talked to anyone directly.
The next stage was an hour-long interview with the hiring manager, which included an open-ended marketing case. Despite being informed there would be a case study, no additional details were provided, and the recruiter was unhelpful. After wasting time preparing for various types of marketing case studies, I finally spoke to the hiring manager, who introduced the role and said that if I didn’t like it after his introduction, we could stop the interview at any time—seriously? why don't you let your recruiter make a simple phone call at round one to do that? so people who aren't interested can pass the written questionnaire and case assessment!
At this point, I'm fine with not receiving any offer from any company, but this process felt like a huge waste of time. The interview process gave me the impression that the company and the teams were arrogant toward the job interviewee, since they mentioned that they understood this was a weird process, but it would save them some time - leaving a very negative impression.
