The interview process started with an on-site translation test in both directions (target>English, English>target). The texts were quite tricky and contained some unusual phrases. Unfortunately, there was a time limit to the test (even though they said it was not necessary to complete both texts) and no dictionaries or online tools of any kind were allowed. It took a few weeks and several follow-ups until i got a 1:1 interview where the general quality of the translation test was discussed, as well as what one would expect from the job if hired.
