I applied online at Ropes & Gray and was contacted around 2-3 weeks later for a phone screening interview. The interview went pretty smooth. I was asked some questions related to my past positions on my resume, how I felt doing certain things on those jobs, what was the most challenging tasks, etc. I wasn't called back for an in-person interview, and I think it's because I was ask if I was interviewing or having offers at different companies, and I said no.

One HR woman contacted me for a phone interview three weeks after I submitted the application. I found a quiet conference room at my office 5 mins before the scheduled time. Turns out she was 30 mins late. The interview went pretty well, very straightforward, no unexpected questions. At the end of the interview, she guaranteed that she would inform me the result by the end of the week. Now two weeks past, still nothing from her. Emailed her last week and heard nothing back. Extremely unprofessional. What was worse is my last temporary job supervisor overheard my phone interview, (because HR called me 30 mins later after I went back to my desk. I couldn’t find a private room so I had to rush to lobby to answer the phone call), I got fired the same day. This firm really grossed me.
