Had a phone interview with a gentleman named Kobi. He called 15 minutes late, and the rest of the call could best be described as abrasive. He wasn't outwardly hostile, but wasn't exactly friendly either. He interrupted me multiple times, changed the topic seemingly out of nowhere, and didn't seem to have many questions about my experience or background. Still, his attitude didn't put me off as I was still interested in the role, so when he asked me in for an interview, I agreed. He wasn't very happy when I told him that I wasn't able to drop everything and head straight in for an in-person, and pressured me to come in within the next few days for an interview, so I agreed to an in-person the following day. He was fairly aggressive about ensuring that I could do the following day, asking me "are you sure?" twice over. The call ended fairly abruptly after that, and as you might expect, I got an email from his assistant not 20 minutes later asking me to reschedule. Anyhow, I spent some time reading more about the company, and finally read the reviews here on glassdoor. By my best guess, the "company reviews" here are probably from executive staff, not proper employees. The "interview" reviews however appear to be more in-line with my own experience. Long story short, I replied to the assistant and withdrew my application. I'm a bit disappointed as the role looked interesting and I'm not a fan of walking away from interview offers, but the number of red flags here was too much to ignore.
