J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Roofr en juin 2024

      Entretien

My first interview was with a person from the talent team. At this interview, I learn all about the company and the tech stack. The person was very friendly and open to answering all answers that I had transparently. Roofr became the number one company that I was in the interview process with. Then I was working on a take-home assignment. The second round was with the hiring manager for the role, and my potential team lead. It was great getting to know the person I would be working with at the beginning of the interview process. The interview started with me giving a demo of the solution to the take-home challenge. Then the interviewer asked me a few questions about it. Finally, we discussed my experience and what I can bring to the table. Right after this interview, I had another one scheduled. It was a system design interview with another potential colleague. I was designing a high-level architecture using Lucid Charts. It is easy to do for someone with a lot of experience. The interviewer asked detailed questions and pointed out some potential issues that we might need to solve in the future and I needed to address them in the architectural design. At this round, I started to feel confident about the competency of the engineers working at Roofr. The final interview was a behavioral one. It was again with the hiring manager and 2 other people. I would say that this interview was hard, but at the same time, I liked it. They asked me many questions on how I would solve specific problems, my opinions, my approach, what I value, how would I mentor junior devs, etc. We were going into great detail. What I like the most about this round is that If they decide to send me an offer after all those exhaustive questions, they must have a very good idea about what working with me would look like and what to expect. This is a good thing because I'm moving to Canada from Europe for this role and I do not want to risk any company hiring me and then letting me go because they have different expectations. I'm confident that the role is a great fit for me and also that I'm a great fit for the company. Then I got an offer from Roofr with a higher salary than I was initially asking for. The reason was that they pay their employees fairly and they will not do any lowball offer. Wow! There were zero red flags with the interview, company, and people. They offer great benefits. I accepted the offer right away. I'm thrilled that I get to be a part of this company.
