Got a recruiter call around three weeks after my application. Had to schedule the final round within a week and get the decision in the following week, since I had a couple other deadlines approaching. A recruiter sent me a pdf file on Monday night at 9:30pm asking me to do an excel file and ppt, and it needed to be sent back before the interview, which was scheduled on Friday. That case study took me about two hours. Hiring team included VP and two managers. I felt like VP asked a lot of questions that were not financial analyzing related, and one manager said at the end “I hope you hear from other places soon.” Excuse me? That’s rude. Even though I already decided during the interview that this place is not right for me when I had a taste of the VP’s management style, I still feel very uncomfortable when hearing that.
