Salary expectations were brought up before clarifying that the position was freelance and followed EST hours, which impacted the overall conditions and the original number given. While the interviewer was cordial throughout the conversation, the process took a considerable amount of time, with more than two weeks passing between the initial contact and the first (and only) interview.
