I interviewed with the Plant Manager and his team. I felt the interview went well. In fact, the interviewers praised me on the answers that I provided.
I have been told that I have a great personality along with an extensive manufacturing quality based background. I have improved quality and have exceeded key performance indicator metrics working at two Fortune 500 companies in Quality Leadership positions. However, I was told that I would not receive the job because my skill set was not strong enough for their needs. That is complete nonsense. Rather, I believe it is racism at its finest. I am an African American female. They would rather hire someone who has less experience than someone like myself who is well qualified to do the job.
They have a low-quality rating and it will continue to be the case until they get someone who knows how to properly lead and hire the right person for the job.
