      Entretien

      HR Business partner called. The entirety of the interview me going through my each of my supervisors in every job I had, giving their full name and title, and then explaining in my own words what they would say my strengths and weaknesses were. The first time they asked the question, I thought it was novel and entertained them with an answer, however I've been working for 20 years so my strengths & weaknesses when I was 21 years old don't provide much value today. I struggled to see how after the third supervisor the questions were relevant or valuable to the process anymore. I drew the line when they asked for my current supervisor's name as I wanted discretion in my job hunt. The interviewer was taken aback by my refusal to answer the question. Never heard back from them. All in all, the process they put me through seemed immature and not an effective way to spend time.

      Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We value these comments and look to continually improve our processes. We do follow an interviewing process called TopGrading, which does require a very structured interview format for the initial screen and there is a proven purpose to this line of questioning. We do however, always get back to any candidate that has gone through the initial phone screen process, and I apologize if we dropped the ball on our end. I would be interested in learning more about what position this was for, as our records do not show a Manager position being recruited for in July.
