      Entretien

Interview was fine. Friendly. Questions were normal interview questions. I was a little upset that the salary advertised on their job posting was not the salary offered during the interview. It was almost half. Felt a little like a bait and switch. Will not pursue this job due to that.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Red Bull (Wilmington, MA) en août 2019

      Entretien

I applied online via their website. I got an email invitation to do a recorded interview within a day or two. This was a first for me and it was admittedly very awkward. Once I did the recorded interview I quickly got a call from a talent acquisition specialist and did a phone interview. She was very nice and that went really well. On the call she told me she would send my info to the local team out of Wilmington, MA. She specifically told me I would not need to interview any further and I would be contacted by someone from the local team to do a meet and greet at the facility. I was contacted a few days later by the local team rep to do an interview... I figured that was just normal language and it would not be another formal interview, however it was. The interview was with a couple of gentlemen: a GSM (General Sales Manager) and a Key Account Manager. They were very nice and professional. The interview was very in depth with many questions. I have been both the interviewee and interviewer each dozens of times between previous job experience and job searching. Having said that I can tell when an interview goes well and I am extremely confident that this one did. Perhaps I was wrong in thinking it went well, because I interviewed a month ago and never heard anything back from anyone at Red Bull. I understand that ghosting is a common norm nowadays of many organizations, however it is one thing to ghost someone who has only submitted an application and it is something entirely different to ghost someone that has been interviewed. Not only did I interview once, but I did the recorded interview, the phone interview, then the interview in person. One particular moment stood out to me during the interview in which the GSM asked me what the biggest challenge was in a previous role. I replied that in a previous role as an Account Manager I managed a staff of 25 mostly college-aged employees with little to no experience and a low level of professional maturity, which could be a challenge. The GSM candidly expressed that we was facing the same problem... This was one of a few indicators that told me that the interview went well seeing as the person who would be my boss is dealing with a problem that I once managed in a previous role. I would have figured that my experience in this regard would bode well for both me and him.
