First, you get a phone interview with a product director. Next, you will have four rounds of interviews with a product director, product manager, UX team, and SDM. After a couple of days, interview with CTO. The experience was good till last round. The last round was very disrespectful, the person was highly opinionated, and regularly threw a sense of supremacy. He talked about himself and his approach for more than 60% of the time. He actually told me that nobody care about our customer in the organization and he is the one who will change this ( ha ha). You hardly hear candidates saying bad things about their previous companies, and here a senior guy talking bad thing about his current company. Within 10 mins, I knew that I don't want to spend my life working for (not with) him. That person changed his job every couple of years (one time in 7 months). During the interview, I kinda understood why? The recruitment team was great. Other folks who were there in RealSelf for few years were amazing and very friendly. So I recommend, wait till 2020 to apply.

Interviewed with HR over the phone and with a Product Manager in person onsite. The Product Manager saw no value in an MBA degree or my years of experience working in the field of cosmetic surgery. He knew nearly nothing about the people who rely on the company's platform for their care or for making a living and thought that this information was irrelevant. I got the impression that this company is fumbling in the dark and needs to really understand the line of work they are in. Too focused on making software products and not focused enough on the human factor and the impact the company's products are having and could potentially have. I read all the 'feel good' reviews about working at RealSelf, but the interview process made it clear to me that the company has a long way to go in terms of how it thinks if it wants to be successful in this line of work. Perhaps RealSelf is a better place to work at for those who have a very scripted job description.
