It took an hour per interview and it took whole afternoon to complete all the interviews.

No wonder this company went through so many layoffs, the people there, the IT engineers, enjoy big offices and ask big open-ended questions, yet the better your answers the less likely you would be hired as the interviewers do not want someone more competitive than themselves.
