There are two interview processes. First, the Hiring Manager will ask about how your previous job experience will help benefit the company. They look for that personality that makes them go wow. If you past this, you meet with your store manager (and sometimes with the co-manager) and they ask you questions as well.

Question 1
Some store managers will ask you to greet customers that walk into the store. This is they're way of seeing if you will shy away or if you are very outgoing. Note, you will not be in a Racetrac uniform but in your own clothes, so some interviewees get very uncomfortable because of this. They like to ask you about different scenarios, like how you diffused a difficult situation, how you went out your way to help a customer. Overall, where do you see yourself with Racetrac?

Entretien
The interview process was straight forward and to the point. Interviewer was professional, knowledgeable and had previous experience experience working in the stores herself. After successfully passing the phone interview, I then interviewed with the Operations Supervisor. The OS was asked me a few general questions about my work history and also why I wanted to work for Racetrac. Smooth process.

Great interview I am able to be myself in interview and got an offer. I would definitely ask more people to join the team. I made it my first 30days now.

Entretien
The rumors were true: if you are not young, Racetrac will not hire you for a management position. My interview went very well with a very nice young lady. I have over 25 years experience as a retail manager, two college degrees, and.... grey hair. Some Racetrac employees I know told me age discrimination is alive and well at this company, and some commenters on Glassdoor have mentioned this as well. But I tried anyway, and came away with nothing. My advanced age could have been garnered from my resume, so I can only assume they called me so as to get a body into their "job fair." This is a despicable practice for a company in a genre with extremely high turnover. They don't seem to mind taking seniors money though, do they?
