First, They asked me about my hobbies. Then, I talked about my previous experiences. Actually, it was a nice talk but they misunderstood my phrase "I like my job; I like to communicate but I like more my job" For a jr data scientist, my experiences were more than the requirements but they understood me like "I dont like the communication". After, when they call me for rejection, I explained that was not a true conclusion. Then, he said to me that "my motivation was not good enough." I find it ridiculous to reject someone because she does not say fancy words about a company. He said "there are some people who want to work with millions of transactions." Is Rabobank the sole bank with millions of transactions? No. Then he continued to say about "you know neural networks etc. but we do regression, you will be unhappy." You rejected me with hollow excuses that don't touch the ground. In the end, when I refuted all that he said, he said "it is not rocket science, we want someone who says fancy words about finance." If you are not doing rocket science, even you don't have the motivation for data science; it is not too much to say. I think interviewers must be supervised, otherwise, you will always hire not the talented ones but the "fancy word" people.
