J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez RWS Group (Cluj-Napoca) en juin 2024
Entretien
Before being invited to an interview, I had to take two tests. The first one included about 500 words to translate, and several questions related to the process of translation and to Trados. The second test was a one hour timed translation test of about 500 words, which they have you take just before the interview, on the same day. This is ridiculous because it means you have to take the whole day off. The content was rather tough for one hour, because it was marketing content and it required some transcreation which you don't really have time for.
The interview was with two people. One who said nothing and seemed to be working on something else, and another who asked me to talk about myself. That was the only question I was asked, actually. Then, the interviewer just went over the job profile at length, which was informative but did not make an interview. It was a presentation with very little room for conversation.
After two translation tests and an interview, they didn't bother to send me a rejection email. Not only that, but I sent a follow-up email to the two recruiters I had been in contact with (two different people) and I received no reply. I can take a rejection, since it's always a possibility when you're applying for a job, but I expect the common courtesy to be informed. It would have been an acknowledgment of the time and effort I put in taking the tests.
I was strung along by the recruiter for months with long periods of hearing nothing, then them reaching out to ask if I was still interested, then silence again. They eventually skipped the interview altogether and sent me an (unpaid) test. The feedback I received introduced some errors and marked valid corrections as mistakes. This came along with a somewhat rudely-worded rejection. After so much wasted time I didn't even try to ask for clarification. As far as I can see, the position has still not been filled.
The interview was easy, and the talent manager was kind. However, after passing the first interview, they asked me to complete a test, which I did. When I received the results, I noticed that their corrections were full of errors. I asked for clarification and provided evidence that they had actually introduced mistakes, but they simply replied, 'Well, this is our decision.'
