I had applied for YEARS to Raytheon in Aurora, CO but never got so much as a phone call or email back from them. I applied through an employee referral and got an interview and phone call. I interviewed and then they made me a great offer that I accepted.
After I got hired it became apparent why I had never been interviewed before: they were only looking for women and minorities. I lucked out by interviewing at a time when they urgently needed qualified people for a project and were willing to hire a white male. However, when the company lost continuing contracts, the WHITE MALES where the first to get laid off with about 2 hours notice to be out of their desks. One guy (WHITE MALE) was only a year or two away from retirement when they laid him off. They females and minorities got moved off to other projects despite having worse work performance. They gave me 1 month severance without strings.
I have never been treated so unprofessional in my career. The company seeks for ETHNIC MINORITY AND GENDER DIVERSITY at the expense of other higher performing employees and their customers and industry will suffer as a result of gettting lower quality goods and services. They also actively promote the GLBT agenda through their corporate profits (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender). They tell employees NOT to discuss salary (in direct violation of Federal law), and encourage employees NOT to seek job interviews with competitors when they are in danger of losing their contracts. Then, if they win the contracts, they go back to the existing employees, make them RE-BID for their existing jobs with resumes and then PAY THEM LOWER WAGES to keep their existing jobs. Lots of corporate double-speak and smoke and mirrors to improve their bottom line: corporate profits.

The interview process mainly consisted of questions pertaining to your resume and STAR questions. To prep for this interview, I would revise your resume and make sure you know everything about your resume. Moreover, I would practice basic STAR questions.
I applied for this job on company's career portal. I didn't receive any updates about my application for a couple of months. I received an automated email from recruiter stating that my application is being considered for the role. Email has million questions to answer before proceeding to next step. I wasted an hour to compile my answers and replied to that spam email.
As soon as I sent the email, I received an automated email stating that I'm suddenly no longer being considered. It seems like they just want to grab personal data from applicants for marketing and profiling purpose.
I hope they are a bit more transparent in the hiring process rather than discriminating candidates based on public and personal information submitted in applicant profile.

HR Screen, then panel interview. Panel interview consisted of the basic STAR interview process and then technical questions. The interviewers were very polite and helped with answers if I was unable to come up with the correct one. Questions seemed to be more gauged at trying to get an understanding of how much you know and how your thought process works.
