      Entretien

If you make it past the initial phone screening, you will have to be prepared for the second round of interviews, which is a half-day of 30-50-minute interviews with different staff at RTI. It's 4+ hours of back-to-back interviews with the intention that different people ask you different questions, but in my experience, many of the same questions were asked to me so I had to recycle many of my responses. I also did not like that I had to take PTO in order to do this half-day of exhausting interviews, especially when, halfway through, I knew that I would withdraw my candidacy due to a negative experience with one of the staff members. It seems like she had a negative view of me before even meeting me because of the shorter-term experiences on my resume (many of which were short-term contracts, and others were due to me voluntarily resigning because of toxic work environments/leaders). This particular individual asked me a question about my longer-term plans, and my response seemed to trigger her. She seemed to think that I wouldn't stay at RTI long term if I were offered the job and that I need to do some "soul searching" and determine if I really wanted to work there or not. She then continued by saying that she, too, likes to "chase shiny objects" - implying that I would leave for something better. Whenever I've left a previous employer, it has been because of bullies and overly aggressive people at that workplace. Ironic that some people don't realize they're part of the problem and not the solution.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Standard behavioral questions, although multiple interviewers asked me the same questions during each interview. The one question that turned me off to the entire process was "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" because the interviewer was trying to ascertain how long I would stay at RTI if I was offered the job. I felt like I was pre-judged and set up for failure from the get-go.
