The initial interview went good. The interviewer mentioned it would be a lengthy process and said I'd been considered in the "top 10%" after looking through my resume and portfolio.
I was told that my next step in the process was to design a creative graphic, that I believed, communicated the company's values. I spent a couple of hours designing what I believe matched the brand and sent it in. I was then told it needed some changes. I made sure I spent several more hours of my personal time that all revisions checked all the boxes of the assignment the second time. Brand color, design, easy to read graphic. I asked for feedback through text and email and did not receive any information for several days. Zero communication. The next thing I knew was that I was let go from the hiring process. When I'd asked for feedback on the project I spent several hours of my own personal time during the weekend, I was just left with zero constructive advice on how to improve.
Not exactly professional.
I felt like I received nothing out of the interview, whereas most interviewers will help you learn what to do better on.
Just be aware you may lose out on better opportunities going through the interview process and then get zero feedback as to how you can make yourself more competitive or do better for self-improvement.
