J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez RM (Cambridge, East of England, England) en mars 2007
Entretien
All done remotely because they're based in Abingdon and were looking for a territory based account manager on the other side of the country.
Initially, a phone interview with HR - very much just running through CV details to check that my previous experience was relevant.
Then, they asked me to do Numeracy and Reasoning tests, again done online. I have pretty good academics, and found these quite a bit harder than i expected. Feedback was fairly minimal except to say that my results were in line with what they expected for the type of position i was looking at.
This was followed by a more indepth interview with a manager from the department with the vacancy - nothing unusual in the interview, the usual sorts of questions you'd expect for an account manager role.
So far, so good. I got excellent feedback from HR that i was a perfect fit for the role, and we started to talk terms.
Then it went quiet for a while, and i had to chase them. Eventually, i was told that they weren't able to make me an offer because someone on maternity leave had decided to return and they would be given the position.
Pretty unimpressive - seems a bit unprofessional to me not to check this sort of thing out before beginning external recruitment. I'd taken time off to be available for the various interviews and it was a total waste of time, so although overall my impressions of the company were positive, there seem to be some communication issues amongst the management.

Question 1
Nothing especially tricky - "how do you structure your time, can you give examples of situations where you've influenced people / worked well in a team / shown customer focus" etc
