Applied online and within a week received a call from an area manager to come for an interview. Traveled over an hour to meet her at her home store location. Interview went well and she indicated I would definitely be hearing from them again in the near future. One week later, I received a call from her regional manager asking for a phone interview. One half hour into that conversation, I mentioned having covered the topic with the area manager and she admitted not knowing we had met and talked. At the close of the conversation, she promised that either she or the area manage would follow up with me within a week. Ten days later, not having heard anything, I sent a follow up email to the area manager I had originally met with simply expressing my interest in the position. Another week passed and I emailed the regional again politely expressing my hope we would be talking again soon. I never received any sort of communication from either of them after that point.
Dysfunctional is the only appropriate adjective to describe their organization.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
I was asked several very personal questions during my in-person interview. I tried to answer without sounding offended, but they were questions clearly posed for no other reason than to determine how my personal life would affect my work. They were questions that could very easily have been used in a discrimination lawsuit against them. They even, albeit in a roundabout way, asked about my sexual orientation.

The worst I have ever been through. THEY contacted me about a position. I spoke with Area Lead which went well. Then she came in town and I met her in person and that interview went well. Then she had me interview with two other store leads. Both of those store leads did not have as much experience as I have. And some or most of them don't even come from a furniture background. It's like a high school cheerleading squad. Cannot believe this company has such horrible hiring practices. In addition on the send store lead interview, I mentioned that she was calling me an hour early and I was glad I was available. She forgot she was in a different time zone. Then when I went to interview in person, I waited for 45 minutes. When the interviewer showed up, no apologies for being late, my time taken up...no regard for people...which is contrary to their 'core values'.

One of the store leads asked me to read to her the companies core values. Then she asked me which one was most important.

3 interviews: phone interview with HR/recruiter, interview with local store director and with district manager.
All very positive until district manager. She acted as if it were a problem that most of my experience was soft line retail.

Contacted and had 4 phone and in person interview. Must have upset one of the leads on the 4th phone interview as the process came to a screeching halt. All were full speed ahead on the hire front until this occurred. Questions the reliability and decision making of the regional lead, whom had begun this process by reaching out to me.
