      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Quotewizard.com (Denver, CO) en avr. 2019

      Entretien

Interview process took two weeks. First step was 30-minute phone call going through your background and some technical questions. Then the dev manager sends you the coding challenge and expects you to finish it within one or two hours ( he was saying that it is very easy challenge that it shouldn't take more than an hour, which sounded cocky). It was basically building a simple full-stack application. Once I submitted the coding challenge, I was invited to the office building to demonstrate the code I wrote. When I got there, I was greeted and the dev manager brought me to the room for the interview. It was a bit frustrated that there was no offer for any drink and he was in a rush to start the interview with the director and senior dev through the cam, and the team on-site. The dev manager was going through my code and I explained the code I wrote. At one point, he mentioned that he didn't even bother to run the application to test. After going through the code, there were some questions regarding javascript, other technical stuff, and cultural fit. It was supposed to 2-hour interview, but it only lasted one-hour. PS: Please show some more respect to your potential employee

Multiple calls, 4 hour technical task, and an in person interview. Ridiculously dragged out over a month. After getting through every round with no issue, I was told the position they are hiring for is in another state and they would prefer to hire someone locally (I have email proof). So, they had me go through a month long interview process, spread out over multiple calls, for a position that didn't exist. Was there a point in me completing their 4 hour technical task? No. When I went in their office, they gave me only a mouse, no keyboard, and asked me to start-up my test project (the 4 hour technical task I completed on my own time) and go through the code .... but I'm not allowed to use a keyboard. Non-sense. I still managed got through explaining the code, but the circumstance that they set up, was ridiculous. They had full control of the situation and they chose to do it that way. Nonetheless, I maintained my composure, stayed positive and answered all their questions. After the in-person interview, which I was told would be the final round, the followed up 2 days later with a request for another interview. It was a video call, I didn't mind. They scheduled it for a week later. I had a nice chat, it went well. Two days later, I was told the position was for an office that is out of state. The end. Great job everyone.
