Overall straighforward yet rather slow process. I was reached out on LinkedIn and after an initial conversation with HR, I had a follow up interview with the Product and Commercial business units. That was followed up by one last interview with the CEO. Everyone was super friendly from beginning to end.

Question 1
How do you balance the tradeoff between constant R&D progress in the product and the need to launch a commercially viable product in a regulated environment?

First there’s an HR interview lasting about 45-60min where a lady tells you about how their culture is amazing, their remote first work, a bit about company history. She asks you to go through your experience and then asks some “how would you act in this situation” questions. They say a personality fit is important.
The there’s a 45-60min meeting with the Product Lead. On this call we briefly went through my work history and ended up mostly discussing Quibim’s strategy (mostly my questions because I was interested to see how the company mitght evolve and what to expect from leadership).
Then the bomb drops - a take home assignment that takes a full work day to complete, and that is providing a problem of their platform. I politely declined doing that specific case study, because after spending 7 years in the healthcare industy, I feel like this would be free consulting. I offered alternatives - to do a live 1-2 hour case study, to discuss my experience in more depth, or to do a different case study that’s not related to their product, as I feel this is common practise to avoid exploatation of applicants. They declined. The idea of the product stuck with me and I ended up reaching out to them again, discussed a bit more with lead PM about what the role will look like, and decided to dedicate 2h total to the test case, openly telling the PM so. He said “Great” and scheduled the final interview with a VP and an HR.
Went through the case study, discussed more strategy, talked about market positioning, they all seemed very happy.
Monday next week, I get a generic HR email “we regret to inform you…”. Of course, I wrote back and asked for extra feedback, as I desicated substantial amount of time for their numerous interview cycles. I get another generic reply.
This was maybe the worst interview experience I had.

Good interview with clear steps and was kept informed of what happened at each stage. Nice and friendly team with a good case study to present. I did not get an offer at the end though.
