I sent my CV to the HR and few days later I had a quick chat with him about my experience and why would I want to work at Quantifind. The first impression of the company? Great!, the HR was very nice and apparently the things they do in this company are quite cutting edge. Then I had two interviews through Skype with two members of the team, I immediately felt I would fit in the "cultural" part of the company. The questions were on statistics in general and programming skills (in my case in C). These two people were very smart and had a lot of experience in top US labs. I did well on those interviews so they decided to fly me for an onsite. In Menlo Park I basically met all the data science/quantitative analyst team, and got interviewed by 4 people, including a co-founder. Questions were of all kinds, solving puzzles, maths on machine learning models, text mining and explaining your previous work experience.
Personally I felt these people know machine learning in depth and in my opinion that is how this company grows and will grow a lot in the following years. My experience throughout the process is very positive, I met smart people doing quality consulting in a fast-growing company.
