J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Quantified Media (New York, NY)
Entretien
I applied through LinkedIn Easy Application - I was contacted a few days later and asked to come in for an interview. Every single person in the office looked miserable when I walked in. The company is basically selling cheap crappy products to poor people in India - it all felt very sleazy and scammy. But the main point I want to get across - this is not a 'video editor' position - this is a 'gather video off the internet (semi-legally) and put it together in IMOVIE and post it on Facebook' position. As someone with ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL video editing experience, the whole experience was really deflating. The interview only lasted 15 minutes because my interviewer could tell I was shocked at their 'editing setup' - I also think my requested salary number was way off from what they wanted to pay. Also - the interviewer flat out told me the office culture is 'cut-throat' and that they will fire people who don't live up to their quotas.
I'm writing this to save people the time and energy of going to their office and interviewing. I could see wanting the job if you're straight out of school and desperate for some income while looking for a REAL job. You've been warned - Just go in knowing what to expect.
This was the first and only time in my life I did not write a thank you note to a interviewer I was so offended by the whole experience and wanted nothing to do with the company. And then they actually sent me a rejection email a few days later. YUCK.
