Hiring manager reached out directly via LinkedIn for an informal 15 minute discussion. We mostly just talked a little bit about my background, the hiring manager's team, and a very high level overview of the company. I was then directed to a recruiter for another brief 15 minute call where he briefly went over the job descriptions for the first time. I thought both exchanges were pleasant if a bit untraditional. All in all, the process was quite disorganized as I discovered the hiring manager and recruiter were not on the same page about what was and wasn't discussed with me. The recruiter sent me a role that was completely not a fit for my skill set and that I later found out might have been a diversity hire (shocker). I frankly think they're a. hiring so many roles so quickly they've forgotten professional etiquette with regards to recruiting and b. I get the sense this is a company still trying to moonlight as a start-up banking on candidates being just excited and honored to be working for a "cool" company. I later did some additional research and confirmed the latter suspicion after reading about some other individuals and their experience with Qualtrics and their paltry offers as they refuse to believe their salaries need to be competitive even given the current climate. Having an isolated negative interaction with one individual would typically not be enough for me to be concerned but to have a wholly unprofessional and disorganized experience in its entirety was a red flag to me. I am generally of the belief that not responding to candidate applications is perfectly acceptable but not responding to candidates after two interviews (especially for a company at this stage and size) as a courtesy to explain what might be happening, especially after you sent job descriptions with the last indication being you wanted to continue discussions, is alarming. Hopefully, as the hiring market continues to become increasingly competitive and the workforce continues to show companies that candidates are interviewing companies as much as companies are interviewing them, Qualtrics might fix what is clearly a broken recruiting and interviewing process.

      Question 1

Interview questions were mostly just preliminary information on my background.

Super Long and Lengthy, spoke with them for over 6 weeks. Usually the recruiter is responsive but could take 2 days the latest. Did a very long case study which you don't get compensated for and code test Conducted 5 rounds - Peer Interview - Country Manager - Technical Assessment with 2 people - Hiring Manager Process is extremely long but I think the company overall is great but decision making is very slow and tiring. I was extremely invested in this position and put in a lot of effort but they decided to give me a very vague answer for the rejection (TBH don't even know why they conducted the final interview then). The people are nice and professional but overall very stressful

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Transparent - Tell me about a time you made a mistake. How did you recover/learn from that? - What have you done when you disagree with an idea or goal your peer, colleague, manager, or department, etc. has suggested? All-In - Tell me about a time when you wanted to quit but didn't. What made you stay? How did you make it a better experience? - Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond what was expected of you; what results came from your effort? - Tell me about a time you received some feedback that was difficult to hear, and what you did with it? Customer Obsessed - Tell me about a time when a customer you were working with was unhappy or wanted something that wasn't possible for you to provide. What did you do to improve their experience? - One of our core values at Qualtrics is being Customer-Obsessed. That means everyone has a role in somehow creating a great experience for the customer. How do you think [name of department the candidate is applying for] helps Qualtrics’ customers? - Think about the most memorable customer service experience you've ever had. Tell me: 1) what sets it apart, and 2) how you can apply what you learned to future customer interactions. One Team - What are three skills or characteristics you could contribute to the team if you worked at Qualtrics? Provide examples that demonstrate these characteristics. - Tell me about the most successful team you have ever been on. What made it so great? - Tell me about a person you admire who is different from you in some way (this can be a different gender, race, nationality, culture, sexual orientation, or area of expertise). Why do you admire them, and how have they made an impact? Scrappy - Tell me about a time when you were asked to do something you had never done before and the approach you took. - Describe a time when your progress was blocked on a project and you had to come up with a creative solution. - Tell me about a time when you took an existing process and made it better? 30 min technical interview You will be asked 2-3 questions based on technical cases. One will be on Cloud technology and On-Prem. You will be given a scenario and you will need to answer how you will proceed. One question will be on trouble-shooting error, and how you can solve the problem. There is no exact correct answer but you should be able to communicate logically. The Last part will be general real-time coding (whatever language Python, Java, C++ etc.) to solve FizzBuzz. You also need to be able to explain why you came up with this answer. You can look up more about FizzBuzz. 30 minute peer interview - behavioral questions. Tell me about a time you worked with a difficult stakeholder. How did you deal with it? Can you describe a time when you went above and beyond for a customer. What type of work environment do you enjoy working in? Can you describe a time when you addressed a gap in a product or a process. What was the outcome? Can you run me through a typical project that you work on and your involvement in the project end to end? (Probe about project budget size, lifecycle)
