      Entretien

      I went through five distinct interviews (which I believe is the entire process) for the Sales Development Representative at Qualtrics in September 2020. Having gone through multiple interviews and offers with other organizations previously, my excitement and hopes to begin my career at Qualtrics was unmatched. Speaking with multiple employees during the interview process gave me insight into how special the team is and why Qualtrics is a desirable place to work. The overall process was very straightforward, streamlined, and challenging. Each individual created a comfortable atmosphere that was casual and not intense. Before each meeting, they informed me that they have a structured question list and grading rubric to avoid bias. Most rounds prompted for questions at the end. Interview 1 - Phone Screening with recruiter (Marisa): Basic 30 minute phone call to discuss your background, current situation, interest with Qualtrics, location preference, and salary expectations. She informed that they are interested in moving forward during that call. We scheduled the next two interviews. Interview 2 - Zoom interview with SDR Manager (Tyler) and Account Executive (Matt): 45 minute zoom interview primarily with Tyler but Matt offered valuable insight as well. The interview was a "15 question rapid fire style" where there is zero to little time for further elaboration after the answer. Both gentlemen were a pleasure to speak to. Interview 3 - Zoom interview with Team Lead III, People Leader Ryan: Another 45 minute zoom interview that has a very similar structure to interview #2. Same style but different questions. Ryan's expertise and transparency was extremely appreciated. We then scheduled the next two interviews. Interview 4 - Zoom interview with Enterprise Sales Development Rep (Jake): 30 minute zoom interview that was formed around TACOS (their core values). Although Jake did not ask questions directly about TACOS, the behavioral style questions were made to uncover and expose those values in the answer. Jake was a very young and personable individual who served as "boots on the ground" resource to candidates. Interview 5 - HireVue (one way self-recorded interview): Took me roughly 40 minutes with a variety of questions. Allocated time for the answers spanned from 1 minute to 5 minutes. Prep time before the answer spanned from 30 seconds to unlimited. After my video submission, it took 8 business days to receive the call that I will not be extended an offer.

Why sales / On a scale of 1-10, how interested are you in sales? What other companies and positions have you been pursuing? What are you looking for in a company? Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? What motivates you? What are some midterm and long term career goals? How does this role fit into your career path? What is the hardest thing you have ever done? What is most intellectual challenging thing you have done in the last X days? What are your three highest intellectual achievments? If you woke up and saw 200 emails but could only answer 50 of them, how would you decide which ones to answer? What do you value most in a culture / team setting? What do you think about the phrase "work smarter, not harder" How much of your life are you in control of? What is the biggest misconception coworkers have of you? What does sales mean to you? List 5 coworkers or classmates; Now rank them 1-6 (including yourself) on how energetic they are (1 being they jumped out of bed like they had 3 shots of expresso, 6 being they need 3 shots of expresso). Tell me about a time with a difficult customer: What is an accomplishment you are most proud of? Describe a time you failed or made a mistake: Describe a challenge or difficult problem you overcame? Describe a stressful situation you had and how you handled it: Described a time you got instructions/feedback/propsoal from a manager that you did not agree with: Describe a time in which you improved a process: Describe a time you were a member of a team: Describe a time you went above and beyond for a customer: Describe a time you wanted to quit: What is something on your resume that is not as impressive as it sounds? What is something off your resume that is more impressive? What location are you interested in? Describe a time when you made a mistake (Transparency): Tell me about a time in which you competed and was ranked amongst competitors (what was the event, how many people, etc): What does diversity and inclusion mean to you: What are your salary expectations? What school did you attend, what was your major, GPA, etc. Did/do you work during college? How many hours? How do you budget / manage your finances? Did you receive any scholarships?

      The interview process with Qualtrics was extremely organized and well put-together. Every team member I spoke to was extremely positive and open. I think anyone who is interested in technology sales should check this company out. There was a 5 step hiring process: 1. 30 min phone screen 2. 45 min interview with a sales manager 3. 45 min interview with a sales manager 4. 30 min TACOS interview with an SDR 5. 45 min interview with a sales manager After completing the process I was informed 24 hours later that I would not receive an offer.

      Very good and quick application process with an initial interview with the recruiter that lasted about 30 minutes. Next interview (incl. assignment) was scheduled but cancelled last minute as the position was no longer offered for the proposed location. Disappointing, as I had already prepared the presentation and invested a lot of time.
