Interviewed through Skype/Google Hangouts. Very low pay offered. It was a relief not to work with them. I was contacted via a recruiter. Had a Skype interview with the HR in London. Then another interview with 2 Google personnels in NYC. Beware, because they wouldn't show their faces (camera didn't work, as an excuse). Interviewers know nothing about localization and other related job posts from Google. They were oblivious of the existence of different kinds of jobs that go under similar names (Language Specialist/Search Language Specialist/Analytic Linguists). Nothing linguistic-related in the interview, and they wouldn't get those linguistic ideas either. Very basic/silly questions to ask an experienced candidate. The important thing is you didn't know you were turned down until you spammed them with Skype messages, multiple attempts with emails sent to different people that had interviewed you to get the answer. They told me the results would come the week after, but it wouldn't come until 3 weeks after, and you had to bug them to see if you got the job or not. Better stay away at all costs.

3 stages of interview in total, see below: first - HR (2 people) second - Team Lead / Manager (1-2 people) third - Project Manager (1 person) prepare properly for second and third, if you manage to get to the third one it's a good sign
