Note: This answer is for hardware profile
There are two stages
Stage1: 1. Resume Shortlisting based on GPA(cut off above 7)
2. Online Test
Stage2: Two one to one technical interviews and one one to one HR interview.
More information:
For online test there are three sections conducted in hirepro platform.
1. Aptitude(compulsory for all)
2. Code Debugging (compulsory for all)
3. Electronics/software/Communication profiles (choose one from three)
Note: There is NO inter section skipping but YES intra section skipping. Time limit for each section is 30 minutes.
60 questions in 90 minutes
Fight with time else you will be lost FOR sure.
Sources of preparation:
1. Aptitude (20 questions in 30 minutes)
Indiabix(do apti section all topics) for getting idea to where to start
And pariksha website for rigorous practice of same sections as of indiabix. I hope you are getting my point.
Focus more on Data interpretation and logical questions as there are 8 questions from these topics only. Time factor decides everything. Start atleast 3 months before spend one hour per day it would be sufficient.
2. Coding section (20 questions in 30 minutes)
Read geeks for geeks articles and solve mcqs from their website
Focus more on functions, pointers, structures, storage classes, arrays and combinations of above all and know what is compiler error, linker error, etc types of errors in depth. Questions are finding which type.
#imp thing
See video lectures of operating systems.
See video lectures of computer architecture and organisation.
##most imp thing
Read data structures and algorithms
From Narasimha karumanchi book(data structures made easy book)
Topics: time and space complexity, strings, linked lists, doubly linked lists, trees, graphs. Stacks, queues, sorting, searching these are more than enough.
Learn how to write code, pseudo code, finding complexities bcz they will be asking again in interviews.
Electronics section:(20 questions in 30 minutes)
Digital electronics :: flipflops interconversion, counters both asynchronous and synchronous, combinational logic that is calculating propagation delay, imp: min number of gates required to implement a function. STA few questions. Implementation of EXOR AND EXNOR using NAND and NOR practice properly how to get these bcz they will be helpful in interviews the derivation.
## questions from Computer architecture and organisation, microprocessor, ADC, DAC, memory types, dsp, signals and systems, basic analog electronics like gain calculations, oscillatiors, timers-555 and opamp based multivibrators, kmap, fsm, interconversion of FSMs,..etc
Logic families like ECL, TTL, DTL, RTL, HTL etc..
Recommended resources from interview point of view and knowledge depth requirements :
Read in depth about cmos inverter, static cmos, dynamic cmos, stick diagram, Delay calculation.
Read STA from weste and Harris book ch-10
Read cmos inverter from kang and rabaey
Low power design techniques from rabaey
Logic families from RP jain.
For interviews do udemy courses of kunal ghosh i had written what to do in one of interview questions you can check there
Advice: start one year before the placement session begins because the interviews are based on OT results not based on cgpa
Carry four copies of CV for interviews.
Stay confident and prepare for hr interview two week's before online test.
All the best.
Don't worry about result if you really work hard i am emphasising on true hard work success will be yours don't worry about GPA it doesn't effect at all focus on strong concept building approach for solving problems.
Read and practice on paper whatever you read don't cheat yourself by not following the last two lines.
Qualcomm is the most prestigious company for any electrical/electronic student so focus more
One last thing:
Browse through company website page before one week
One of my question tell us what technology we use in latest snapdragon processor and why and what is the outcome of it. Go through their website linkedin pages etc.
