There was really no interview process for me as I followed my advisor from his original institution as he moved to Purdue. That original interview was relaxed and informal, like most graduate school interviews. A smooth advisor/advisee relationship is key to success in any Ph.D. program, so learning whether or not you get along with your potential advisor is equally important as him/her figuring out what you know.

1-hour interview, start from introducing myself, my background knowledge, and experience. Then, talk about personal research interest as well as future development. Lastly, about salary finance support, health insurance and working environment
